Frequently asked questions

Our practice is dedicated to delivering high-quality dental care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient safety. These policies are designed to protect both our patients and our practice, ensuring that all treatments are conducted with transparency, respect, and mutual understanding. By adhering to these guidelines, we safeguard patient rights, promote clear communication, and uphold the integrity of our services. We encourage all patients to familiarise themselves with these policies to ensure a smooth and respectful experience throughout their care with us.

1. How often should I visit the dentist?

We recommend visiting the dentist for a routine check-up every six months, but this can vary depending on your individual oral health needs. Your dentist will advise you on the ideal frequency based on your specific situation.

2. What should I do if I have a dental emergency?

If you experience a dental emergency such as severe pain, swelling, or a knocked-out tooth, please contact our practice immediately. We will do our best to provide you with an emergency appointment as soon as possible.

3. What services do you offer?

We offer a full range of dental services, including routine check-ups, hygiene appointments, fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures and teeth whitening. We also provide preventive care, such as fluoride treatments and dental sealants, to help protect your teeth.

4. Do you accept NHS patients?

We provide treatment for children on the NHS. Please contact us for the latest information on appointment availability and reference the NHS page on our website for further information.

5. What are your payment options?

We accept cash, debit and credit cards, and are working on introducing payment plans for more flexibility. In the meantime, we offer Denplan, which allows patients to spread the cost of their dental care through affordable monthly payments.

6. Can I book my appointment online?

You are able to request an appointment through the our website. One of our team will be in contact shortly to book you in.

7. How can I improve my oral hygiene?

Maintaining good oral hygiene involves brushing your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, and visiting your dentist and hygienist regularly for check-ups and cleanings. Avoid sugary snacks and drinks, and ensure you drink plenty of water.

8. What do I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

9. Do you offer teeth whitening?

Yes, we offer professional teeth whitening treatments that are safe and effective. Our dentists can advise you on the best whitening options to achieve your desired results while protecting your dental health.

10. Can I register my child with the practice?

Absolutely! We recommend bringing your child for their first dental visit by the age of one, or when their first tooth appears. Regular check-ups help ensure good oral health from an early age and make visiting the dentist a positive experience. Children can be see for free under our NHS service.
